My background as a graphic designer and years of absorbing from different influences, whether it's the ink on the printers mixing table that I had to stop myself sticking my hand right into, my obsession with architecture or growing up surrounded by my father's art, it all comes out in different ways in my work.

I hope people find pleasure in my work. Sometimes it is just nice to enjoy something that speaks to the individual on a level stemming from colour, feelings that the work may evoke from memories of a special time or place.

I am enthusiastic about many things and gain enjoyment from many things... Architecture, design, other artists past and present, places, light, smells, and enjoy discovering new things whether it's a new artist, or finding a new place to paint 'Plein Air'. I am also interested in how a place I may have painted before can look so different in a different light or time of the year. Rediscovery is a wonderful thing.
